Chemistry starts tomorrow and it will drag till the 6th, a week break and mother of all accounts last. My hair's long, wish me luck. :D

Unexpected

6th October 2007

Lomotion had a mini competition on the day of Tikam-Tikam. Of cause there's prizes, Diana+ as the first prize! Fisheye, lomo notebook and some starter pack thingy were also up for grabs. I submitted my some of my photos without any winning expectations... ok I lied, actually I want the Lomo Notebook but I believe God knows I love lomo so much that he decided to give me another Diana. I'm not a two timer, I'm gonna be loyal to one. That's the sad thing, probably trading it with Gerbil with his FE2. Ah lomotion is just a pleasant place to be.

Anyway good luck people for your o's and stuff. Hope you all get high marks but nothing higher than me la. HAHA just kidding. Lots of luck and love. :D

Collaboration 1.0

I just completed my first lomo collaboration with Matthew. It's one of the best roll I've ever shoot so far and I must say I'm really happy with the results. I shoot first mainly doing the background using my trusty ol' LC-A, covering my school life and so for and Matt, using a LC-A+, his shot mainly covers his trip through the animal farm. We called it the Kiddo Callabo for a simple reason that we're both are 16 and below. Here's some pictures to share...

Alright raya had been pretty good except for the travelling and the noisy relatives. My relatives' houses are all like plutos away. Cousins brought their babies along and they were like, "SAY HELLO TO UNCLE HAIQAL!" -____-. Don't get me wrong, I like kids in fact I adore them- their innocence and stuff but uncleeeeeeeeee booo! I'm 16 and uncle? My weekends are burned, my chemistry textbook is rotting on my table. I have lost the enthusiasm of holidays~the green packets, the ketupat and the all the soft drinks. So far I've collected enought moolah for a coloursplash flash, that pathetic but I still got 1 day more to go. Come money, come to papa.

Oh ya, hari raya songs can be quite irritating especially when it's being played non stop from morning till night. Rooney saved my life, check out their single "When did Your Heart Go Missing?"

The Tale of Miss Swan

We had our graduation ceremony last Wednesday. I must admit it was a memorable occasion. The secondary 4s put up an awesome performance despite of the fact o's is just around the corner. I really enjoyed every classes' performances.

Ben's band woke everybody up-it would be better it there's a mosh pit, ah but you know how sucky are bukit merah people. They only listen to Pavarotti and categorizes rock as noise. Boo. 4C skit was great as well. Damn great organization from the start to the song session. Everything went smoothly. Hope what they pictured 20 years later will come true. :D and yeah my class was the last to perform.

After 3 certificates presentations and 3 class perfomances people were literally stoned. I was in the changing room and stupid thoughts came across my 30inch brain,"Why the hell am I doing this. Damnnn." Jinteck came in, " Haiqal quick! Curtain open liaooo!" My balls shrunk like raisins when I saw 750 people in front of me. Oh ya, it went really smoothly. Kudos to Caryn, Jinteck and the whole class for your enthusiasm. I just hoped people really enjoyed it.

We sang school's theme song for the last time and i recorded the moments but cork camera screwed up. I couldn't find the video. Grrr.

We were dismissed and there's a range of tasteless bee hoon, dried up yam cake and fruit punch buffet waiting for us. My gshock shows Russia timing again and well we jiak of cos. That's the time when everybody whipped out their digicams and went berserk. Abdul and Jovyn suprised me, it's the first time they ever posed for a camera. Taking photos is always fun, regretted leaving my LC-A at home.

Three massive colourful walls

Lomotion's first exhibition was awesome. I came down early to help out on the walls. All the blue tacks and squatting was really tiring but damn it's worth it. Red Dot Musuem is a very nice place to have an exhibition. It's pretty quiet in the morning but slowly crowd seeps in.

Sadly, it's on for only 2 short days. I hope this changes people's perspectives of films and try to appreciate it instead. We had great organizers working their ass out, kudos to them. It's nice spending time with people with the same interest-getting to know each other, sharing tips and basically influencing each other to buy more stuff.

We had lomographers from malaysia too. Man, they're bunch of happening people. I fumbled alot especially when there's a need to speak malay. Their malay are first class and there's no slang or any sought of thing in their sentences.

Wahaha, fasting was great when we follow Turkey timing. We'll never be left in a state of thirst or hunger that way. Anyway the most happening part was the one year anniversary bash. People practically went berserk. Party hats, face mask and lots of fun. The cake was good. Mamee and ribena! Ah good ol' days.

If anybody wants to go, it's still on! Till 730 that is. Do support local stuff! :D
