Accomplished
Farewell to my Vivitar. I sold away another camera. Tough decision man, it's something like mats losing their guitars. The CCA award list came out today and I earned myself a Merit award. The list was about 9349km long and my name was one of the longest in there "Muhammad Haiqal Bin Anwar-Floorball" and from now till next week, i need to be on my best behaviour. I somehow miss floorball training and the smell of my smelly grip.

Black and white
Emo? Not necessarily. I have black and white fetish now, for photographs that's it. For me it signifies simplicity-no messy colours, minimal wrong exposures and it's cheap. Check out my flickr. (:
The past week had been great. It went pretty well. First of all, it's happy birthday to my mother, fellow mat friend-adib and liping. Ahh old old people. Being born in September, it makes feel young. And yeah 2 mats, 2 bhais and 2 cheena man(we mix and match from our own preference, for ex. manpreet hate mats so he stick to his own genre, who will be Vicky Singh) went for dinner, steamboat @ Marina South. Lousy mat partner call us out but we had to pay ourselves. Keke. Great meal indeed. After dinner we decided to burn off some calories and have a little nice stroll together. Best part was the fireworks . Some cheapo couple even bring their own picnic chairs. I mean isn't a hotel room at Pan Pacific with panoramic views and chilled champagne would be better?
Esplanade next, MAT's PARADISE. Rich buisness men have Bahamas, cheenaman got chinatown and mats have esplanade. Relek one corner, hisap rokok, tengok minah jambu- their life philosophy. After having enough of mats and esplanade, we end our night with bandung, teh and ice tea with lime.

Lomotion Outing #2
It was last Sunday when Lomotioners gather again to snap pictures. We had "Nostalgic" as the theme of the day. Basically we tour-ed around Little India, visited Museum of Shanghai Toys, hunt for vintage at Sungei Road and chilled out at Haji Lane.
Little India, is a very "photogenic" place. Colorful surroundings, fun people and has one hot scorching sun. Most of the peeps worn out fast but we recovered back at MOST. It beats the National Museum. It showcases all the classic toys back from 1900s. I'm a modern kid and I never came across such toys before. What I played during my young age was Hotwheels diecast and Power Rangers figurines.

Big boys' toys

Big boys' toysWe split up because some were still full and didnt want to have dinner. There's this melayu eating place at Bussorah St. I left that place with an empty stomach. The bugger forgot to take my order and we waited for an hour for 1 plate of rice to come. Well life's unfair, get use to it. HAHAHA. Here's some pictures to share. I <3 red.

Live Earth

Live Earth, great concert i must say. Ah some nice performances by Madonna, Linkin Park and Black Eyed Peas. There's also some kuku performance something like by the 12 Girls Band. That's madness. I rather watch Sanjaya scream his lungs out. Ah miss out Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Metallica. Grrrr. And now the most important question, will all this media and awareness be effective?
and what will be going on 08.08.08? chinese's lucky number ehhhh.
Two down, one more to go
For me wedding is a killer and after surviving two, I think I'm getting used to it. Yeah, another new happy couple last weekend. A six hour long event, fooo. Crowd starts streaming in as early as 11am.
I was half stoning then but the rest looks damn enthu and they shook hand and chit chat like they met for the first time after 203 years.
Madness in the morning, you got old folks dancing. WOOTS. The best part was going to the bride's place to fetch her. The kompang troupe was the best. Blasting their kompang like a 10000watts dolby surround speakers would sore everybody's hand except them.
eh pole dancing??
Upon arriving back at the groom's place, the kompang troupe blasted all their mights on their kompangs again. The whole Clementi was shaken. Ah now you can see the flower yo and the goddamn things wasn't light at all but my 50cm biceps was put for a good use.
The usual malay tradition is done after that. Anybody who does silat is welcome to do a mini performance for the newly weds and i believe it's for good luck or smth. Heh, I'll invite Jackie Chan to do kung fu and Stevan Segal to do aikido if i get married.
I got a small task. They asked me to carry a pole and do an exotic dance , it's called bunga mangar actually. Lens wasn't wide enough, actually there's a flower like thingy. What you do is gotta walk slowly with the bride and groom in between. There was once i walked a lil bit too fast and I got my shirt pulled. "EHHH?!" then i heard walk slowly la.
